How to add offspring or births to a paddock or mob

Wondering how to add lambs, calves or other livestock young to your property? To record births, use the 'Natural Increase' option to add offspring as a new mob in the same paddock as their mothers. This makes it easy later on to split and sort your lambs or calves at weaning time. It's recommended to record new offspring during marking time to ensure accurate and timely data entry.

One way to record lambing/calving percentages of each mob is to add it into the notes section of the Natural Increase record. To analyze birth data, navigate to the 'Reports' section on the web platform. Expand each breed and gender group to view total numbers categorized by age and class.

Web and Mobile App

  1. Select Mobs from the main menu.
  2. Select Add Mob.
  3. Select Natural Increase.
  4. Complete the mob details and select next.
  5. Complete the Natural Increase record and add the % in the notes if desired.
  6. Select Add Mob.

Note: You can also record lambing percentage on the breeding mob by using a Mob Action and leaving the percentage in the notes for reference.
