How to Record Agisted Livestock in Mobble

Recording Livestock Agisted on Your Property

If you have agisted livestock from elsewhere at your place, here's the best way to record them:

  1. Add the livestock as a new mob, using the "setup/other" option
  2. Add a newclass to the mob e.g. "agisted" or "Jock's cattle"
  3. Once they leave the property, delete the mob

This method ensures the agisted livestock are accounted for in your grazing history, but don't contribute to any other records.

Recording Livestock Agisted Elsewhere

If you're agisting your own livestock on another farm, you can create either a new paddock or a new property called "Agistment" and move the mobs there for the time they are away.

Using the paddock option means you can still account for those livestock numbers within your existing property, whereas the new property option allows you to track those livestock completely separately for the time they are off the farm.
