Wondering how to add lambs, calves or other livestock young to your ranch? To record births, use the 'Natural Increase' option to add offspring as a new herd in the same field as their mothers. This makes it easy later on to split and sort your lambs or calves at weaning time. It's recommended to record new offspring during processing to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
One way to record lambing/calving percentages of each herd is to add it into the notes section of the Natural Increase record. To analyse birth data, navigate to the 'Reports' section on the web platform. Expand each breed and gender group to view total numbers categorised by age and category.
Note: You can also record lambing percentage on the breeding herd by using a Herd Action and leaving the percentage in the notes for reference.
