Bulk processing of livestock

Categorising, scanning, weaning, weighing, merging, reshuffling and more. These are all processes that require bulk movements of livestock. This is why we created the Corrals.

The Corrals is a default field designed to facilitate bulk livestock processes, including scanning, weaning, merging, recategorising, and more.

All bulk processing can be done in these key steps:

  1. Move all livestock that need processing to a Corrals.
  2. Merge relevant herds.
  3. Add herd actions.
  4. Split and re-categorise merged herds back to their fields.

Note: Splitting a herd is commonly performed for purposes such as categorising, weaning, or drafting, which may require updating herd details. The 'Advanced Splitting Options' feature allows you to easily modify attributes like age, category, and gender for both the moving and remaining herds.

  1. Select a single herd.
  2. Select Move/Split Herd.
  3. Define the numbers and categories of the new herds.
  4. Select Split Herd.
