Web App Error: “Failed to initialize WebGL"

If you’re seeing the error message "Error: Failed to initialize WebGL" when trying to use Mobble in your web browser, it usually means your browser doesn't currently support WebGL or that it's been disabled.

To resolve this, please follow the below instructions.

1. Check if your browser supports WebGL

Visit https://webglreport.com to confirm whether WebGL is supported and enabled in your current browser.

2. Turn on Hardware Acceleration

WebGL requires hardware acceleration to be enabled in your browser settings. Here’s how to check this in Chrome and Edge:

Google Chrome

  1. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of Chrome and select Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and select Advanced to expand more options.
  3. Under the System section, toggle Use hardware acceleration when available to ON (the switch should be blue).
  4. Restart Chrome to apply the changes.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of Edge and select Settings.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click System.
  3. Toggle Use hardware acceleration when available to ON (the switch should be blue).
  4. Click Restart to relaunch Edge and apply the changes.
