Farmbot x Mobble: Water data now on livestock management maps

Australian agtech innovators Mobble and Farmbot Monitoring Solutions have teamed up to give farmers access to near real-time water data directly within their farm and livestock management software.

The integration brings Farmbot tank, trough and rain gauge data into the Mobble platform, overlaying water information across the same map farmers use to manage livestock, paddocks and daily operations.

NSW woolgrower Ben Swain runs Mobble and Farmbot across three properties and welcomes the combination of data and alerts onto one platform.

“Our staff spend a lot of time on Mobble because they’re doing the stock movements and mob actions,” Mr Swain said.

“This integration now allows them to check Farmbot’s water levels when they’re in the paddock moving stock from one paddock to another.

“When they physically move the stock they record it in Mobble at the same time, in real time, and it makes it easy to check Farmbot’s water levels as they are on the map.”

Mobble founder and CEO Jock Lawrence says the integration is about reducing platform switching and giving farmers clearer operational visibility.

“When water fails, everything is at risk - stock health, productivity and animal welfare,” Mr Lawrence said.

“Farmers don’t want to be jumping between systems or waiting for a crisis alert. They want to see what’s happening, as it happens, in the same place they’re already managing their livestock. The integration allows farmers to access all of this online or offline, and on any device.”

Tess O’Hagan, Farmbot General Manager - Australia, says combining water monitoring with livestock management in one place, farmers can spot issues earlier, reduce unnecessary travel and respond faster to risks that could impact stock health and welfare. “Since the integration launched, more than 350 Farmbot sensors have been connected within Mobble, with farmers excited for the integration,” Ms O’Hagan said.

For Mr Swain, having both systems together also drives stronger team use.

“Having the integration means I know my team is using it. My young staff are now accessing Farmbot data all the time thanks to the Mobble app.”

Once the two platforms are connected, farmers can view near real-time tank and trough levels, see rain gauge data across their properties, and identify low or failing water points earlier. This helps reduce emergency call-outs and unnecessary trips while protecting livestock.
