The untold bias of AgTech

There is an untold bias in AgTech. A bias that favours intensive farms with high stocking rates, leaving extensive or remote livestock producers in the dust.

The untold bias in agtech
Instead of narrowing the gap, current trends in AgTech are leaving remote producers in the dust

Early in 2018, Dad and I were looking for the right software to accommodate our broad-acre farm.

No luck.

The software we trialed was either too complicated, too clunky or strictly angled towards intensive farming.

The norm of farm management software favoring intensive farming is an unfair problem. A problem that has recently become a huge part of my life.

By mid-2018 I had founded Mobble - farm management software catering extensive livestock producers in Australia and beyond. The aim is to make trace-ability, compliance and increased productivity through software possible for those who were previously AgTech deprived.

We quietly released an early stage product in January 2019 - since then we have seen growth of 18% month-on-month.

A positive change

This is a change in AgTech, built to be inclusive, flexible, and giving new tools and innovation to those who have originally been forgotten.

Help us out, give us feedback, let others know, and trial Mobble on your farm.
